The Final Bathroom post

At least you hope this is the last post. All of the construction is done now, the contractor has been paid. All that's left is the glass shower doors, they have been bought but the manufacturer has not come to install them yet. And there is some more decorating - we need more pictures and shelves and storage and stuff. But some of that is already done. The important part is that the entire thing is usable now and I have (basically) finished pictures to post.

The first wall tiles went up in that corner!

With the light fixtures

The rest of the wall tiles went in

Shower wall tiles went up before the floor went in

This was a tricky wall to figure out

We have a foot prop shelf

The toilet got moved back behind the shower

The finished product

Finished walls

Still waiting on those glass doors

Medicine cabinet is up

We found a great piece of furniture at Pier 1 to for storage

Other side of the shower
The total cost of the renovation was over $17k. I didn't want it to get over 10. That's how these things go when you use a contractor like this. But everything was done right, and our contractor was very thorough. The most important part is that it's done now. Not exactly the 3 day weekend tile project that I was expecting!

It looks awesome! Projects like that are so expensive but the important thing is that it was done right!! Having a contractor that is thorough is so important as you don't want to go back and have to fix anything down the road. I hope the shower door gets install soon so it can be 100% done!

Yikes that is a hefty price tag! I remember us getting some outrageous quotes when we wanted to reno our bathroom, we ended up scaling the reno's wayyyyy back and just doing it ourselves!! The tile looks AWESOME though!!
