Dadlife - it happened. My eldest has now finished 5th grade and will start middle school in just a few weeks. I have a middle schooler. Just typing that is terrifying. I remember how I was as a middle schooler, and what happened to me during those years. That torture is about to befall my sweet little Ella. I may just hold my breath for the next 3 years.

too sweet. First day of kindergarten and the last day of 5th grade |
The graduation ceremony was really sweet. The kids all sang songs and danced, they got their picture taken with the principal and teacher. Then we all went to the library for cake. It was really a special event.

Kelley's dad came as well. Afterwards, Mickey took us out to lunch at the NC State golf course clubhouse. It was delicious and appropriate.

she wouldn't share |
So for now, if you need me in the near future, I'll just be in the corner crying and mumbling "what happened?" and "it's not possible", but it is happening and is possible. She's about to start 6th grade.

I can't believe she's a middle schooler. Time goes by way too fast! It's just nuts! My oldest nephews are 11 and 12. I can't wrap my mind around that. They are starting to not want to hug me. :....( But at least having Phil around keeps me sort of cool in their eyes. They like him since he'll play sports with them and laugh at their fart jokes. Ha.
Congratulations, John!
