Great May!

I have a hard time believing it's really June 1st.  Here's May's totals:

Swim: 19,550 yards, 8 swims, 2 races
Bike: 198 miles, 11 rides, 1 race
Run: 40.8 miles, 10 runs, 3 races
Strength: 13 workouts
Yoga: 28 sessions

So close!  450 yards away from hitting 20,000 yards in the pool?  That's only half of a warmup. Argh!  I knew if I hit all 8 scheduled swims it would add up to something nice.  The two races were the aquathon (half a mile) and the FS 50 triathlon (one mile) and those are both well short of the almost-2 mile RAM practices.  198 miles on the bike is pretty decent too.  Still shooting for 300, but the schedule is just now starting to open up enough to get in some decent long saturday rides.  40 miles of running is pitiful.  Must do better than that.  But I totally nailed the strength training and yoga.  Right on schedule.

I thought yesterday was annoyingly hot inside the house, but I just figured that was because it was 90* outside.  That makes me believe June is really here.  Turns out, our AC unit needs to be serviced.   Tonight, some family members are coming into town, and tomorrow we're having a few other kids (and parents) over for Evil Genius's birthday party.  Then our niece Kaileigh will end up staying with us for her summer break.  So, you know, that's the perfect time for our AC to flake out.  Must get a repairman here today.

Oh that sucks that the a/c isn't working. that always seems to happen at the worst time! It's been pretty cool here this week - like in the 50s! But it's great running weather. And it's warming back up to the 70-80s this week. Hooray!

Here's to a great June!

Our A/C broke last summer. Hope it isn't something serious that will take a while to fix. Keep cool!

Your saying your niece is going to come and stay with you for the summer reminds me of the good times I used to have as a child, going to stay with my aunt and uncle for the summer. It was the highlight of my summer every year!

Sucks about your AC. If you lived in the Bay Area, you wouldn't even need one! ;)
