Holy crap! (Pun may or may not have been intended.)

To this day my sister (now 30) still has issues going if there are people in the house. Dates back to when she was in elementary school I think.

Hopefully EG grows out of this and/or you find a solution to make things "easier" for her.

Haha--been there. And you're right, if I'd heard such a story before having kids, I don't think I could have believed it. Our (sort-of) solution was Benefiber for Children, but we had to mix it into chocolate milk, and we couldn't let him know if was in there. He noticed it in everything else! Really, fruit is ideal, and the passage of time to outgrow the hangups.

yea, we had to do the enima thing with Jessica once, and only once. She kinda got the message.

This is not a problem I ever had to deal with for either of my two kids. Lots of other "strange but true" situations that we dealt with, but not this one. Good luck!

my friends son is VERY VERY irregular. she gives him everything but it's really a psychological issue that you are dealing with. my sister has a friend how brings her child to children's hospital in boston because of these types of issues, there is a WHOLE department there that deals with this. it can get so bad that the kid won't go so the poop starts dripping out around the harder stool....it's not pretty and i don;'t have any answers but it's a serious issue for some kids!

As I am no parent, I guess I can't truly understand the joy you must have felt on Sunday night :)

Seriously, some people don't go regularly, as in, every day. Maybe you just need to let it work itself out? (oops, pun not intended). Otherwise, I suggest lots of fruit or maybe a fiber supplement snuck into whatever she likes. Do you think that if you pretend it's not a big deal, she will believe that and maybe it will come more naturally, mentally.

I feel bad laughing, but I'm glad that things are better.

I honestly think the best line of this post might be "There's no way that one turd can warrant 8 phone calls (5 before, 3 after) and consume an entire sunday.".

Ahhh... the joys of parenthood! :)
